Wackytoon Studio

Wackytoon Studio is a Kolkata-based animation and visual effects studio producing episodic television, web content and advertising films for domestic and international markets. Established in October 2012, it combines traditional 2D artistry with 3D CGI and visual effects. Its work spans children's entertainment, edutainment, broadcast series, streaming content and commercial advertising.

From development to finished animation

The studio offers production services from concept development through finished imagery. Its pre-production capabilities include concept art, character and environment design, storyboarding, animatics, layout and background painting. Storyboarding work includes episodic storytelling, action sequence staging and anime-style dynamic continuity.

For 2D projects, Wackytoon provides digital hand-drawn and cut-out animation alongside compositing. Its 3D pipeline covers asset modeling, texturing, character rigging, animation, lighting, shading and rendering. Visual effects capabilities include particle effects, dynamics, simulation, destruction, creature effects and motion graphics. These disciplines support both full-pipeline episodic production and shorter digital or commercial assignments.

Broadcast production and collaborations

Wackytoon combines animation partnerships with independently commissioned broadcaster work. Through its collaboration with Green Gold Animation, the studio contributes to established children's properties including Chhota Bheem, Super Bheem, Kalari Kids and Rudra: Boom Chick Chick Boom. Its reported contributions span episodic animation, character animation, background art and co-production animation services, depending on the project.

Direct commissions from Sony YAY! include Honey Bunny Ka Jholmaal, KickO & Super SpeedO and Guru Aur Bhole. The studio has also contributed to projects for Disney India, POGO, Cartoon Network, Moonbug Entertainment and Netflix. Its portfolio includes children's and digital productions such as Luka Chhippi, The Adventure of Kat & Pic and The Adventure of Nandu & Ballu.

Wackytoon operates independently from Kolkata while maintaining close production ties with Green Gold. This operating model allows it to participate in an established animation production network while also taking on its own broadcast commissions.
