UPP

UPP is a Prague-based visual effects and post-production studio operating as Universal Production Partners, a.s. Established in 1994, it works across feature films, television, streaming productions, advertising and film-restoration projects, combining creative supervision with an end-to-end finishing pipeline.

Its visual-effects work includes concept development, previs, VFX supervision, digital compositing, matte painting, CGI environments, character and creature animation, and complex simulations for water, atmospheric effects, pyrotechnics and destruction. The studio also supports productions with VFX element shoots, practical effects integration and miniature work.

Production and finishing capabilities

UPP pairs its VFX departments with post-production services spanning editorial, digital intermediate, color grading, sound post-production, sound design and audio mixing. Its advertising operation provides conception, finishing and multi-platform mastering for commercial work.

The studio has also developed virtual-production and performance-capture capabilities. Its Milín facility supports motion capture, facial performance capture, 3D scanning, LED-volume work and live-action VFX production. UPP’s archival work uses high-resolution film scanning and restoration workflows for film-heritage partners.

Selected film and television credits include Blade Runner 2049, All Quiet on the Western Front, Barbie, Extraction 2, Conclave, Nosferatu, Five Days at Memorial, Raised by Wolves, Carnival Row, Das Boot and Children of Dune.

UPP operates from Prague and works with regional group facilities in Central Europe. Its work spans international studio productions, European cinema, streaming series, commercial campaigns, archival restoration and interactive-media projects.
