The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) is the dedicated global operating arm of the Pokémon franchise for all regions outside of Asia. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, the company manages the brand's international presence across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and Africa. TPCi serves as a multifaceted organization responsible for brand management, interactive entertainment publishing, game software engineering, and the global distribution of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG).

Core Operations

TPCi operates as both an intellectual property manager and a technical production studio. Its internal teams oversee:

• Game Development & Engineering: The company maintains in-house software engineering teams that build and operate cross-platform digital titles, including Pokémon Trading Card Game Live. These teams manage high-availability infrastructure, account services, and live-service operations.
• Localization & Media: TPCi manages extensive localization pipelines, adapting Japanese content—including television series, films, and narrative scripts—into multiple languages for international broadcast and streaming platforms.
• Supply Chain & Manufacturing: Through its subsidiary, Millennium Print Group, TPCi vertically integrates the physical production, printing, and distribution of the Pokémon TCG.
• Esports & Organized Play: The company administers the global Play! Pokémon program, which includes tournament software, player rankings, and the execution of the annual Pokémon World Championships.

History & Structure

The company was formed in 2009 through the consolidation of Pokémon USA, Inc. (established 2001) and Pokémon UK (established 2003). It operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pokémon Company, which is a joint venture between Nintendo Co., Ltd., GAME FREAK inc., and Creatures Inc. TPCi continues to expand its global footprint, with regional hubs in London, Dublin, and Mexico City supporting its mission to connect fans through shared experiences, competitive play, and high-quality entertainment products.
