About The Future Animations

The Future Animations is a digital-first animation studio based in New Delhi, India. Founded in May 2020 by Rohit Thakur and Anmol Pandey, it grew from freelance animation work into a commercial production business serving international digital creators, advertisers and independent filmmakers. Its work spans stylized 3D character animation, 2D vector and anime-influenced animation, motion graphics and post-production.

The studio provides an end-to-end production service, taking projects from scripts and visual concepts through storyboards, character design, modeling, texturing and rigging. Animation, lighting, shading and multi-pass rendering form part of the same production offering, alongside voiceover synchronization, sound design and background score mixing. This allows the company to support both individual commissioned videos and continuing animation requirements.

Commercial and creator production

For brands and agencies, the studio produces animated explainers, promotional videos and corporate storytelling content. Its markets include B2B software businesses, retail and e-commerce companies, and advertising clients. For digital creators, it develops recurring production pipelines intended to deliver high volumes of episodic 3D storytelling. Its credited work includes animation for the YouTube channel Zack D Films and commercial animation for Lenskart.

Narrative animation and original projects

The studio served as the primary 3D animation production house for Walk In The Light, the short film written and directed by Princella Smith. The film follows Raymond Washburn, a blind survivor of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing who guided five people to safety. It received a nomination for Outstanding Animated Short at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards.

Alongside commissioned productions, the company develops original animation projects, including Theo Ark and Theo Explanation about Universe. Its portfolio also includes mythological action, superhero character animation and worldbuilding trailers. Across these formats, its production approach combines a New Delhi supervisory core with distributed freelance artists, using Blender as a central production tool. The business subsequently established a private limited corporate entity in February 2025.
