About teamLFG
teamLFG is a first-party game development studio in the PlayStation Studios family, operating under Sony Interactive Entertainment. Its name draws on the multiplayer phrase “Looking For Group,” reflecting a focus on online games designed around friendship, community, and a sense of belonging.
Formally introduced in May 2025, the studio grew from an incubation project that began at Bungie around 2023 before its core team transitioned into a new PlayStation Studios operation. The team combines experienced developers with newer industry voices and is focused on creating social, replayable multiplayer experiences with strong moment-to-moment action.
Current Focus
teamLFG is developing an unannounced original multiplayer action game in Unreal Engine 5. The project is described as a live-service experience in a comedic, mythic science-fantasy setting, built around team-based play, expressive player interaction, and community-informed playtesting.
Its design approach draws from multiple genres, including fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, and life simulations. The studio emphasizes approachable but deep action gameplay that players can learn, master, and return to over time.
