About Stim Studio

Stim Studio is a European 3D CGI animation and visual-effects studio serving feature films, animated series, commercials, game cinematics and digital platforms. The company combines end-to-end production capability with specialist CG services, working across visual development, asset creation, rigging, animation, effects, lighting and final compositing.

Founded operationally in 2019 by ESMA alumni Jordan Soler and Félix Ferrand, with Benoit Gielly joining as CTO, the studio initially focused on demanding character creation, facial rigging, look development and grooming. It has since developed into a full-service production partner able to support animated features and episodic work from early development through delivery, while continuing to provide high-end technical and creative vendor services.

Production capabilities

  • Character and environment modelling, sculpting, rigging, grooming, shading and texturing
  • Layout, 3D animation, cloth and hair simulation, FX, lighting and compositing
  • Hybrid live-action/CG integration, commercial animation and game cinematics
  • 2D animation design and title sequences
  • Technical direction and modular pipeline development using workflows built around Gaffer, Houdini, USD, Katana and Arnold

Stim works on service productions and co-productions rather than maintaining a proprietary IP slate that could compete with client work. Its production model also includes international co-production support and work structured around European funding and tax-incentive frameworks.

The studio has expanded its production network across France, Belgium and the Canary Islands, building specialist capacity in areas including compositing, CFX, look development, rigging and animation. Its credits include The Girl in the Clouds, Coyote vs. Acme, The Wild Robot, The Garfield Movie, The Amazing Maurice, A Mouse Called Julian, Jane and the game cinematic RKGK - Rakugaki.

Stim has collaborated with production companies and studios including Warner Bros., DreamWorks, DNEG, Mercury Filmworks, Mikros Animation and Apple TV+.
