Red Animation Studios

Red Animation Studios is an independent Peruvian animation producer founded in 2005 by Milton Guerrero Prado. The studio develops and produces CGI and 2D animated features, episodic series, original intellectual property, commercials, and international service work. Its production pipeline spans visual development and pre-production through animation, visual effects, compositing, grading, and final delivery.

The company works across 2D digital animation and 3D CGI, with capabilities including character design, storyboarding, animatics, modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting, shading, rendering, and post-production. It also undertakes work-for-hire projects and minority or majority co-productions for international partners.

Screen work

Red Animation co-produced the 2012 feature Rodencia y el Diente de la Princesa (A Mouse Tale) and provided animation work on the preschool series Siesta Z, which received an International Emmy Kids Award nomination in 2017. Its feature collaborations include Nahuel and the Magic Book, My Fairy Troublemaker, The Elfkins 2, and The Light of Aisha.

Its series and digital-production credits include Angry Birds: Bubble Trouble, Angry Birds: Maker Space, Talking Tom Shorts, Talking Tom X Angry Birds, Little Angels, Crayola Crew, FriendZSpace, Tainá and the Amazon's Guardians, and Guitar & Drum.

International production

In 2020, Red Animation helped form the Los Amigos cross-border production collective with Brazil’s Hype Animation and Chile’s PunkRobot Studio. The group uses an integrated real-time pipeline and has produced work including Angry Birds Bubble Trouble for Rovio Entertainment and Guitar & Drum for Disney Junior Latin America.

The studio has also expanded its European production presence through Red Canarias in the Canary Islands. The operation supports co-production activity and collaborations with German studio Seru Animation, following work on My Fairy Troublemaker and Elfkins 2. Red Animation is currently producing its original CGI feature Kai and developing the science-fiction project Spark & the Mechas.
