About Playsport Games
Playsport Games is a Guildford-based video game developer focused on sports management and racing simulation games for mobile, PC and console platforms. The studio develops premium and free-to-play titles spanning iOS, Android, Steam and Nintendo Switch, with particular emphasis on strategy systems, motorsport gameplay and long-running game support.
The company’s roots lie in Motorsport Manager Mobile, released in 2014. In 2015, founder Christian West established a dedicated Guildford studio with Will Evans and Sam White. Playsport subsequently partnered with Sega Europe on the fully 3D PC, macOS and Linux edition of Motorsport Manager, which launched in 2016. The studio expanded the franchise through downloadable content and further mobile releases.
Games and development focus
Playsport’s work includes the Motorsport Manager series, Motorsport Manager Online, Motorsport Rivals, Matchday Manager, Cricket Team Coach and Horse Racing Rivals. Its upcoming PC title, Motorsport Manager 2, is developed by Playsport and published by Miniclip.
Its capabilities include:
- Full-cycle game development across design, 3D art, animation, programming and QA
- Sports-management simulation and racing-strategy systems
- Unity-based PC engineering, UI/UX design and cross-platform optimisation
- Simulation architecture, physics tuning and AI logic
- Live operations, post-launch expansions and community support
Playsport Games operates as an active subsidiary of Miniclip (UK) Limited. The studio’s creative and technical development remains centred in Guildford, while Miniclip provides publishing, support and administrative infrastructure. The company is part of the Guildford games-development cluster and continues to recruit for new work in the Motorsport Manager franchise.
