Overview

Playhouse Design is the specialized motion graphics, animation, and visual design division of Playhouse Post, a premier full-service post-production facility located in the heart of London’s Soho. Operating as a core creative department within the broader Playhouse Studios group, the studio provides high-end design services for feature films, high-end television (HETV), and premium documentaries.

Creative Capabilities

The studio is recognized for its expertise in conceptualizing and executing complex visual narratives, including:

• Main Title Sequences: Design and animation of theatrical and broadcast title sequences.
• Motion Graphics: Creation of end-crawl sequences, graphic packaging, sizzle reels, and marketing assets.
• Visual Integration: Seamless integration of typography and graphic inserts into film and television projects.
• Technical Pipeline: The team works in a high-performance environment utilizing Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects, with direct integration into the facility's Autodesk Flame and FilmLight Baselight finishing pipelines.

Facility and Infrastructure

Playhouse Design operates from the flagship 12,000-square-foot facility at 25 Noel Street, Soho. Following an extensive refurbishment completed in October 2026, the studio benefits from a state-of-the-art technical environment, including:

• Dedicated 4K DCI theatrical grading theatres and Dolby Vision HDR suites.
• High-speed connectivity to 2PB of centralized network storage, including 300TB of NVMe storage for real-time 4K review.
• A 17-seat Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision screening theatre.

Heritage and Integration

Playhouse Design was established in 2026 as part of a strategic consolidation by Playhouse Studios. The division integrates the creative talent and technical expertise of legacy Soho post-production operations, including the design teams formerly associated with LipSync Post and the technical infrastructure of Halo Post. By combining these resources, Playhouse Design offers a comprehensive creative service that supports projects from initial concept through to final delivery for global streamers, networks, and independent film productions.
