North Mist Studios is an independent game development studio based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in November 2024 by a team of six veteran developers formerly of BioWare, the studio focuses on character-driven narrative roleplaying games (RPGs) and survival horror titles. The studio is defined by its commitment to a transmedia production model, where original game universes are introduced and iterated upon through episodic audio drama podcasts before full-scale game release.

Production Philosophy

North Mist Studios operates with a strict, publicly stated policy against the use of generative artificial intelligence. The team emphasizes 100% human-created production workflows, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 for game development and ZBrush for character asset creation. Their audio production is similarly grounded in authentic field recordings and original compositions, eschewing synthetic libraries to capture the specific atmosphere of their Canadian settings.

• The Concierge: A narrative RPG set in a near-future 2034 Canada, exploring themes of espionage and data privacy within a clandestine organization known as The House.
• The Rat Patrol: A survival horror first-person shooter set in rural Alberta, featuring a unique premise centered on the province's historic rat control program.
• The Concierge: Post Mortem: An episodic audio drama series that serves as a canonical prequel and worldbuilding foundation for the studio's flagship IP.
