Motion By Design

Overview

Motion By Design is an Australian creative agency and production studio specializing in visual communication, animation, and video production. Based in Marleston, South Australia, the studio provides end-to-end creative services for government, healthcare, technology, and corporate sectors. The agency is recognized for its focus on complex concept simplification, producing high-quality 2D and 3D animation, corporate brand films, and educational content.

Service Models

Motion By Design operates through two primary delivery models:

• Project-Based Production: Traditional scoped engagements for bespoke video, animation, and graphic design projects.
• Content as a Service (CaaS): A subscription-based model that provides organizations with a dedicated, fractional in-house creative team. This model allows clients to access a multidisciplinary team of animators, videographers, and designers for a flat weekly fee, serving as an alternative to traditional recruitment or agency retainers.

Expertise and Culture

The studio maintains a 100% onshore, in-house production model, housing its creative team—including illustrators, animators, editors, and account leads—at its Marleston headquarters. The agency has received industry recognition for its work in public health and corporate communications, including multiple appearances in the Fast Movers SA Awards and a Special Mention for Supplier Innovation at the 2021 SA Health Supplier Awards. The team utilizes a standard creative pipeline centered on Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma to ensure consistent quality across all deliverables, ranging from technical medical explainers to large-scale government campaign assets.
