About Accenture Song VFX
Accenture Song VFX is a visual effects and computer-generated imagery studio headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. Established as Mackevision in 1994, it developed its early business around automotive visualization before expanding into high-end film and episodic television. Its work combines photorealistic digital imagery, complex effects simulation and production pipelines for entertainment, advertising and interactive applications.
The studio’s automotive practice has produced CGI imagery, launch films, digital configurators and virtual showrooms for manufacturers including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Ferrari and Volkswagen. Its capabilities span digital asset development, real-time graphics and digital twins, supporting both rendered content and interactive product experiences. This background in data-driven visualization remains an important part of its production work alongside entertainment visual effects.
Visual effects and production
For film and television, the studio offers a production process covering concept art, pre-visualization, asset creation, simulation, lighting and compositing. Its specialties include digital environments, matte painting, creature and character effects, and simulations of fire, water, destruction and particles. On-set VFX supervision and virtual production extend these capabilities into filming and production planning.
The company expanded into high-end entertainment VFX in 2014. Its credits include Game of Thrones, Lost in Space, Star Trek: Discovery, Shadow and Bone, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Foundation, The Penguin and Dune: Prophecy. Its contribution to Stranger Things Season 4 included digital fire for the Vecna sequence, and the production marked its first credit under the Accenture Song brand.
Company development
Accenture completed its acquisition of Mackevision in February 2018, bringing the studio into its creative and digital content business. Following Accenture’s wider brand consolidation, the studio announced its transition to Accenture Song in May 2022 and continued its entertainment work as Accenture Song VFX. The business remains active, combining its established automotive visualization practice with visual effects production for international film, television and commercial clients.
