Lively

Lively is a UK game development and co-development studio founded in 2020. Based in Royal Leamington Spa, it develops character-led, mobile-first games and supports partners with full-SKU production, live operations and cross-platform adaptations for mobile, PC, console and mixed-reality platforms.

The studio works across the production lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping through launch support and ongoing live service. Its capabilities include game co-development, distributed engineering, technical art, UX/UI design, 2D and 3D animation, character and environment creation, platform support, porting and remastering. Lively also works with telemetry and data-informed balancing, Unity DOTS, and high-definition render-pipeline development.

Games and collaborations

Lively's work spans licensed games, original client work and Apple Arcade releases. Its portfolio includes:

• Pusheen's Place, an official Apple Arcade life-simulation and room-decoration game based on Pusheen the Cat.
• Warped Kart Racers, for which it managed post-launch LiveOps, seasonal events and an Apple Vision Pro spatial-computing adaptation after collaborating with Electric Square.
• Detonation Racing, where it provided development and optimisation support for the Unity DOTS-powered arcade racer.
• Creepz Clash, a multiplayer third-person shooter developed for SUPER DUPER.
• Fros, a Meta Quest character-action title developed for Enver.

Lively operates as a distinct studio brand within the Electric Square & Lively Group. Its operating legal entity is Electric Square Limited, which is wholly owned by Keywords Studios Limited. The studio maintains its own leadership and creative portfolio while sharing elements of corporate infrastructure with Electric Square.

Focus

Its work is particularly oriented toward character-rich worlds, stylised art, life simulations, arcade racing and games-as-a-service. This combination of creative production and live-service capability allows Lively to contribute to both new game development and the continuing evolution of released titles.
