About Lightfox Games
Lightfox Games is an independent game developer and publisher focused on multiplayer, mobile and cross-platform interactive entertainment. Founded in 2019 by mobile-game industry veterans with roots at King Seattle (formerly Z2Live), the studio builds games around accessible action, competitive play and systems designed for ongoing live operation.
Its development approach combines high-ownership teams with technical efficiency, rapid prototyping and proprietary internal tools. The studio’s capabilities span synchronous multiplayer design, real-time mobile PvP, physics-based brawlers, cross-platform play, Unity development, game and economy design, systems engineering, 2D and 3D art, VFX, community management and LiveOps.
Games and development focus
The team’s early technical work included Super Battle League, a 2020 3v3 real-time party-action prototype that evolved into Knight's Edge: PvP Raid Arena. Released worldwide in 2021 for iOS and Android, Knight's Edge paired one-handed portrait controls with competitive 3v3 PvE/PvP boss-rush gameplay.
In 2024, Lightfox released Rumble Club, a physics-based multiplayer brawler for PC, iOS and Android. Supporting up to 20 players, the game was developed and self-published by Lightfox in partnership with Mad Mushroom, OTK Media’s publishing arm. The studio is also developing an unannounced mobile game based on a globally recognized entertainment IP.
Cross-platform production
Lightfox develops and publishes full-cycle games for mobile and PC platforms, including iOS, Android, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Its work emphasizes action-oriented multiplayer experiences, from midcore mobile mechanics to cross-platform social competition. The company’s operating model is built to support iterative production and sustained game services rather than treating launch as the end of development.
The studio is led by co-founders Ryan Hanft-Murphy, CEO and Head of Engineering, and Jordan Arnold, COO and Head of Product, alongside Head of Player Experience Rex Downham. Their background in mobile games informs Lightfox’s focus on gameplay systems, efficient production and player-centered live experiences.
