Lemon Sky Studios

Lemon Sky Studios is a Malaysian game-art outsourcing, CGI animation and co-development studio founded in 2006. It supports global entertainment partners with production work for AAA games, animated series, cinematics and original intellectual property.

Its game-art practice spans character, creature, prop and environment creation; concept art and visual development; 3D modelling; rigging; skinning; PBR texturing; lighting; VFX; and shader benchmarking. The studio also provides technical-art support for Unreal Engine and Unity, including level building, optimisation, LOD setup and technical animation.

Games, animation and cinematics

Lemon Sky combines asset production with animation and cinematic capabilities, covering performance acting, motion-capture cleanup, grooming, simulation, compositing, in-game cutscenes and marketing trailers. Its animation work extends to episodic CGI productions for broadcast and streaming, while its pre-production services include character and world concepts, colour scripting, look development and style guides.

Supported game credits include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part II, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo II: Resurrected, Warcraft III: Reforged, StarCraft: Remastered, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Hi‑Fi Rush and Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Animation credits include Pokémon: Path to the Peak, Mighty MonsterWheelies, Playdate with Winnie the Pooh, Battle Kitty and Middle School Moguls.

The studio has also developed original properties, including the non-verbal CGI comedy series AstroLOLogy and the game IP Metal Genesis.

Company context

Lemon Sky Studios operates as an active subsidiary of iCandy Interactive Limited, which completed its acquisition of the studio in February 2022. The company reports a creative workforce of more than 250 full-time digital artisans and has contributed to more than 180 AAA games worldwide.
