Lee Bones Productions

Lee Bones Productions is an Australian television production and 2D animation studio based in Melbourne, Victoria. Co-founded and led by comedian, author and producer Andy Lee alongside television producer Greg Sitch, the company develops comedy and family-focused screen work for broadcast and streaming audiences.

Its initial creative focus has been adapting Lee’s Do Not Open This Book children’s-book franchise, illustrated by Heath McKenzie, for animation. The studio works across development and production, including scriptwriting, character design, storyboarding, visual development, animatics, editorial post-production, voice casting and production management.

Animation for family audiences

The company’s flagship project is the animated comedy Do Not Watch This Show, a 2D series centred on Wizz, a blue monster voiced by Andy Lee who attempts to persuade children to stop watching. The first 12-episode season debuted on ABC iview and ABC Family in July 2025. A 20-episode second season followed in July 2026.

The production brings together a dedicated creative team, including series producer Nick Campbell, directors Patrick Crawley and Leo Baker, line producer Megan Brock, development producer Jane, and character and design lead Heath McKenzie. The team’s work connects the visual identity of the original book series with television animation production.

Production and distribution

Lee Bones Productions provides full-cycle television-series production, from early creative development through pre-production, animatics, editorial and delivery. Its work has been produced in association with Screen Australia and VicScreen.

Following its Australian launch, Do Not Watch This Show expanded internationally through distributor 9 Story Distribution International. The series was scheduled for CBeebies in the United Kingdom and Amazon Kids+ in the United States and Canada, extending the studio’s family-animation work to overseas audiences.
