About KOJO

KOJO is an Australian creative, post-production, visual effects and live sports entertainment company headquartered in Adelaide. Founded in 1991, it works across feature films, episodic television, streaming productions, sports presentation and brand experiences. Its screen business serves Australian and international productions, combining picture post-production with visual effects and finishing.

Screen production and finishing

The company's screen division, KOJO Studios, provides services spanning the journey from production through final delivery. Its capabilities include workflow design, on-set and studio VFX supervision, compositing, paint and roto, offline and online editorial, data management, colour grading, mastering and deliverables. Motion graphics and main title design complement its picture and visual effects work.

KOJO's visual effects practice includes photoreal and invisible effects, while its finishing capabilities encompass digital intermediate colour grading, HDR finishing and theatrical projection. Editorial, visual effects and finishing are connected through a unified lens-to-screen pipeline, allowing the company to support multiple stages of a production's picture workflow.

Its principal Australian post-production and VFX hubs are in Adelaide and Melbourne. These facilities combine editorial and grading environments with visual effects teams; the Melbourne studio also incorporates motion and title design. The company has delivered work across more than 120 film, television and streaming productions, including projects for domestic and international studios and distributors.

Sport and live experiences

Beyond screen entertainment, KOJO Sport develops stadium presentation, digital screen content and fan engagement for sports leagues, franchises and venues. Its work includes live event creative direction and content designed for stadium screens and the wider spectator experience.

KOJO Creative / Experiences extends the company's production capabilities into brand activations, marketing campaigns and major ceremonies. Together, these activities connect its filmmaking, design and event-production capabilities across entertainment, sport and corporate markets.

KOJO joined PMY Group in September 2024 and continues to operate across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, with an additional client representative presence in the United States.

More about KOJO

Founders and screen leadership

  • The report identifies Lauren van Rensburg as Head of Post & VFX, alongside VFX Supervisors Genevieve Camilleri and Paul Nelson. Camilleri is an Oscar-nominated supervisor; that recognition belongs to her individually.

Production infrastructure

The Adelaide facility includes an accredited DI theatrical projection suite. The report also describes accredited security infrastructure supporting international and independent productions.
