Corporate History and Affiliation

KAIKO operates as an internal development studio within the THQ Nordic group, having been acquired by THQ Nordic GmbH in May 2021. The studio's brand heritage traces back to the early 1990s, when the original KAIKO collective produced acclaimed titles for the Commodore Amiga. Following a period of dissolution, the brand was revived in 2015 by Peter Thierolf, who serves as the studio's Managing Director. Today, the team is actively engaged in the production of original action-adventure content, including projects supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
