About Jam Filled Entertainment
Jam Filled Entertainment is a Canadian animation production studio creating 2D digital and 3D CGI animation for television, streaming series and feature-length specials. Headquartered in Ottawa, the company also operates production facilities in Toronto and Halifax. Its work serves children, youth and family audiences through animation production partnerships with networks, streaming platforms and entertainment companies.
The studio provides services across pre-production, animation and finishing, including character design and modeling, storyboarding, animatics, digital rigging, animation builds, visual effects and compositing. Its production capabilities include Flash and Toon Boom Harmony animation alongside Autodesk Maya-based CGI. In addition to commissioned animation services, the company offers co-production and original intellectual property development.
Production work
Jam Filled's television portfolio includes The Loud House, The Casagrandes, Pinky Malinky, Final Space and Inside Job. Its CGI work includes Thomas & Friends, for which the report identifies seasons 21–24. Other productions include DC Super Hero Girls, Rusty Rivets, Dino Ranch, Daniel Spellbound, Wylde Pak and the second and third seasons of Clone High. The studio has worked with partners including Nickelodeon, Netflix, Warner Bros./Cartoon Network, Spin Master and Mattel.
Growth and ownership
Founded in 2007, Jam Filled expanded from its original Ottawa-area operation into a studio supporting multiple animation productions. Boat Rocker Media acquired the company in August 2016. Later that month, Jam Filled purchased assets and production infrastructure from Arc Productions and rehired key production talent, establishing its Toronto operation and expanding its capacity for 3D CGI animation. A dedicated Halifax facility followed in 2019, adding further 2D production capacity.
In August 2025, a reverse takeover transaction brought Boat Rocker's production assets, including Jam Filled, under Blue Ant Media Corporation. Jam Filled continues to operate as a dedicated animation studio brand within Blue Ant Studios' Kids, Family & YA division.
