About Inferno Studios

Inferno Studios is a British technical-art and real-time visual-effects studio providing external development support for video games. Legally registered as INFERNO STUDIOS LIMITED, the independent studio focuses on engine-ready effects work for PC, console and mobile productions, combining artistic direction with technical implementation.

Its work spans stylized and realistic gameplay effects, environmental interactions, particle simulations, destruction, explosions, previsualization, cinematic effects and trailer assets. The studio also provides VFX direction, consultation, asset scoping and workflow guidance for partner development teams.

Real-time production capability

Inferno Studios develops and integrates visual effects for contemporary game-engine workflows, including Unreal Engine 5 Niagara and Blueprints, Unity VFX Graph and Shuriken, CryEngine and Godot. Its technical-art practice includes custom shaders and materials, procedural tools, performance optimization, fluid and pyro simulations, and systems designed for in-engine use.

The studio’s production toolkit includes Houdini, EmberGen, Substance Designer and Blender alongside proprietary procedural tooling. This combination supports effects work from early creative exploration through simulation, implementation and optimization.

Selected work

Inferno Studios has been credited for real-time VFX work on projects including Clash of Clans, Cast Outs, Under Siege, Neon Gaze, Capacitance, Banished, Cavitation, Final Wish, The Anomaly and Voidsong. For Clash of Clans, it served as a lead external real-time VFX partner.

Founded in 2023 by Managing Director Declan Paul, the studio operates as a remote-first, distributed organization. Its services are aimed at teams seeking specialist VFX and technical-art support for gameplay, cinematics, trailers and interactive visual systems.
