Igloo Studio

Igloo Studio is a Bangkok-based animation, CGI and digital content production company founded in 2007. Its work spans animated features, streaming series, commercials, music videos and game content, combining original storytelling with production services for entertainment companies and brands. The business formally incorporated in 2008.

The studio supports projects from early story development through animation and post-production. Its pre-production capabilities include scriptwriting, world-building, concept art, character design, visual development and storyboarding. Production services cover 2D, 3D and 2.5D animation, alongside visual effects, compositing, digital environments and particle and dynamics simulations. Mixed-media projects bring together live action, CGI, traditional animation and practical effects.

Animation and storytelling

The studio's feature-film work includes The Legend of Muay Thai: 9 Satra, released in 2018. Its animation approach includes a hybrid aesthetic described as “Thai-nime,” combining Eastern cultural influences with Western cinematic pacing. This approach also informs its work across commercial and entertainment formats.

In 2023, Igloo produced My Daemon for Netflix, collaborating with Japanese writer Hirotaka Adachi, also known as Otsuichi. The series brought Thai animation production and Japanese storytelling together in a shared production. The studio also develops original animation projects, extending its activities beyond commissioned production into its own creative properties.

Games, brands and collectibles

Igloo's game production services include character modeling, key visuals, cutscenes and trailers. Its contributions include character animation for AdHoc Studio's narrative game Dispatch and digital art or card animation for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.

Commercial work includes animation for Malee, the Provincial Electricity Authority and BNK48. Beyond screen production, the studio offers art-toy and collectible development, including digital sculpting, 3D printing and hand-finishing. Its collaboration with TOHO Global includes official Godzilla 70th-anniversary collectibles, connecting character-based entertainment with physical products. Together, these activities serve film, streaming television, advertising, games and consumer collectibles.
