About Flying Wild Hog
Flying Wild Hog is a Polish game development studio founded in Warsaw in 2009. It develops and co-develops action-focused games for PC and console platforms, with particular experience in fast-paced first-person shooters and character-driven third-person action adventures.
The studio made its debut with the cyberpunk shooter Hard Reset, released in 2011 and built with its proprietary Road Hog Engine. It later helped revive the Shadow Warrior franchise through Shadow Warrior, Shadow Warrior 2, and Shadow Warrior 3, and has expanded its catalogue with projects including Trek to Yomi, Evil West, Juju, Space Punks, and Devolverland Expo.
Development capabilities
Flying Wild Hog offers full-cycle game development spanning concept work, pre-production, production, quality assurance, and launch. Its teams also undertake co-development, work-for-hire programming and engineering, art-asset creation, multiplatform porting, and console optimization.
Its technical practice combines experience with the Road Hog Engine and modern AAA production in Unreal Engine 5. The studio’s work encompasses combat systems, visual design, narrative direction, cinematic animation, and level design, supporting both original productions and partnership-led projects.
Recent and ongoing work
In 2022, Flying Wild Hog released three major games across separate publisher relationships: Shadow Warrior 3, Trek to Yomi, and Evil West. The studio is also co-developing Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis with Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Games.
Founded by industry veterans Michał Szustak, Tomasz Baran, and Klaudiusz Zych, Flying Wild Hog has grown from its Warsaw origins into a multi-studio Polish developer. It operates as an active subsidiary of PLAION GmbH following its 2020 acquisition, while continuing to develop games across its Polish production network.
