Fellow

Fellow is an independent Los Angeles creative studio and production company combining live-action direction, design, animation and visual effects for commercial brand work. Founded in 2012, the studio was built to bring production and post-production together under one roof, integrating filmmaking, creative development, editorial and finishing rather than treating them as separate stages.

Its work spans strategic concept development, brand storytelling, product-launch films, cinematography, set design, visual identity, photorealistic CGI, technical animation, compositing, rotoscoping, colour grading and finishing. Fellow also develops custom creative technology and AI/VFX workflow utilities through its Inference research-and-development initiative.

Integrated campaign craft

Fellow’s production approach combines live-action capture with post-production and design-led visual development. The studio works across hybrid formats including digital cinematography, macro probe-lens photography and 16mm film, alongside CG product visualization, character animation and motion design.

In 2026, Fellow introduced an updated identity and a “response first” framework that maps emotional momentum before production. Its stated process uses “moment archetypes” such as anticipation, tension, release and awe to guide the relationship between creative strategy, visual craft and audience response.

Selected work

The studio’s commercial portfolio includes product-launch and campaign work for technology, automotive, healthcare, athletics, beverage and consumer brands. Credits include LiDAR launch films for Aeva, Honda’s This Is Forty and Level Up the Fun campaigns, L.A.B. Golf’s VZN — A Lot Easier, product visualization for Aspen Dental and Oral-B, and multiple Callaway Golf campaigns.

Additional projects include NOMO’s Free the Thumb, Altru Health System’s This Is Why, Revel Spirits’ Avila Spritz, Corona Extra’s #RaiseSummer animation suite, and a Dell Precision Laptops product showcase.

Fellow operates as an agile boutique studio with a core team and a curated network of freelance artists, directors and technologists that can scale around individual productions.
