About 2K Valencia
2K Valencia is a video game art and production studio based in Valencia, Spain. Established in 2005 and formerly known as elite3d, it became part of 2K following its acquisition in November 2021. The studio now operates within 2K Global Services, providing internal art production and technical support for games across the publisher’s portfolio. Its history combines independent external art production with its current role in a global publishing organisation.
The studio produces 2D concept art and detailed 3D assets for interactive entertainment, serving AAA console, PC and mobile game production. Its capabilities span characters and creatures, environments, architectural assets, props, vehicles and weapons. Work ranges from visual development and high-polygon sculpting to game-ready modelling, level art, set dressing and in-engine integration.
Art production and technical support
Alongside asset creation, the studio supports technical art, cloth simulation, facial deformation rigging and procedural material development. Its production services also encompass animation support, motion capture integration, user research and asset pipeline optimisation. These capabilities connect visual development with the practical requirements of assembling and integrating assets into real-time games.
Under its former name, the studio contributed artwork to projects from several game developers and publishers. Its historical portfolio includes Diablo II: Resurrected, Hitman III, Control, Metro Exodus and multiple entries in the Call of Duty series. Contributions across these productions included character and creature work, environmental assets, weapons, props and concept art.
Within 2K, supported credits include character art for The Quarry, environment art for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and character art, sculpting and period cloth simulation for Mafia: The Old Country. These projects reflect the studio’s continuing emphasis on specialised art production and technical execution within larger game development teams.
