Dupe VFX

Dupe VFX is an independent visual effects and post-production studio founded in 2018 by CEO and Visual Effects Supervisor Jonathan Harris. Based in London with a studio presence in Stockholm, the company works across feature films and high-end episodic television, combining artist-led visual effects work with technically demanding production workflows.

The studio’s work spans invisible effects, photorealistic compositing, retouching and digital cleanup alongside CG environments, vehicles, creatures and digital-human work. Its teams provide visual development, technical previs, on-set supervision, data acquisition, 2D and 3D compositing, modelling, lighting, effects simulation, roto, paint, matte painting and screen graphics. Dupe VFX also supports digital makeup, de-aging and procedural facial-replacement work.

Production approach

Dupe VFX has developed its pipeline for complex photorealistic builds, using USD-based and cloud-distributed workflows alongside specialist 2D and 3D departments. The studio provides project carbon reporting using Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse-gas tracking, translating production energy data into client-facing CO₂-equivalent reports.

Sustainability is a defining part of its operating model. Dupe VFX became the first visual-effects vendor to achieve Certified B Corporation status, pairing its creative work with commitments around governance, social equity, fair pay and environmental accountability.

Its credits include Havoc, Black Doves, Sentimental Value, Sex Education, Peaky Blinders, Gangs of London, The School for Good and Evil, The Buccaneers, Liaison, Rivals, Renegade Nell, The Gold, Landscapers, Apostle, Outlaw King and Eric.

The studio serves film and streaming productions for clients and platforms including Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+, BBC, Sky, HBO and ITV. Its portfolio ranges from subtle beauty and continuity fixes to large-scale CG cityscapes, environments and creature effects.
