About Doghouse Films
Doghouse Films is an independent Luxembourg animation and audiovisual production studio founded in 2012. Based in Differdange, it develops, finances and delivers animated productions for feature-film, television and international co-production markets.
The studio works across both 2D and 3D computer-animation pipelines, combining artistic development with in-house fabrication and post-production. Its production capabilities span storyboarding, concept and character development, 2D and 3D layout, modelling, texturing, background colour art, cleanup animation, digital compositing and visual-effects assembly. Doghouse Films also supports creative development for emerging talent and established directors.
Animation production and co-production
Doghouse Films operates across European co-production networks, collaborating with partners in Luxembourg, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond. Its work includes feature films, animated shorts and children’s television, alongside projects for mature theatrical audiences.
Notable productions and co-productions include:
- Pachamama, Juan Antín’s animated feature, which received a César Award nomination for Best Animated Film and was acquired by Netflix for international release.
- Ari Folman’s Where Is Anne Frank and Pierre Földes’ Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman.
- The Fox and Hare television series and its feature continuation, Fox and Hare Save the Forest.
- Nina and the Tales of the Hedgehog, Brown Morning, A Walk into the Afterlife and Marcel et Monsieur Pagnol.
The company is also attached to upcoming and recent feature work including Jonas Rasmussen’s Dansker, Paul Bolger’s Outfoxed!, and The Blue Sweater With a Yellow Hole.
Full-pipeline capability
Doghouse Films brings together pre-production, animation production and finishing work within a single studio practice. Alongside 2D hand-drawn and cut-out animation, it provides 3D asset creation, rigging, texturing and motion-capture integration. This combination allows the studio to contribute to projects at different scales, from auteur shorts and independent features to series and international family entertainment.
The company remains active in production and recruitment, with a permanent production leadership team supported by expanding in-house artist teams during production cycles.
