DLVR

DLVR is an independent virtual-reality game developer and technology lab founded in 2021. Formerly public-facing as Doge Labs, Inc. and Doge Labs VR, the studio creates social, competitive multiplayer experiences for the Meta Quest ecosystem while also developing safety technology for live-service games.

Its game development work centers on standalone VR and mixed-reality performance, combining physics-driven gameplay, multiplayer networking, 3D asset production, rigging, custom shading, and optimization for headset polygon, texture, and draw-call constraints. DLVR also operates and updates free-to-play multiplayer titles with scalable live-service infrastructure.

Games and interactive experiences

DLVR’s flagship sports title, BIG BALLERS VR, has also been released as BIG BALLERS '26 after an earlier App Lab launch as Big Ballers Basketball. The game brings basketball, baseball, and football together in a multiplayer VR setting, with physics-led play, customizable avatars, mixed-reality mini-hoops, slow-motion dunk mechanics, and persistent community parks for up to 10 players.

The studio also developed ANIMAL RIVALS VR, a multiplayer parkour-based PvP shooter built around fast movement and competitive action. The reported player reach of these titles exceeds four million registered players for BIG BALLERS VR and two million players for ANIMAL RIVALS VR.

Live-service technology and safety

To support its live-service catalog, DLVR has built an internal stack using Node, PostgreSQL, Railway, and Cloudflare Workers, designed for high-throughput game APIs and large volumes of daily requests. Its PlaySafe.ai platform extends that work into automated voice and text moderation, identifying and addressing toxic behavior in real time for social multiplayer environments.

DLVR is a globally distributed, fully remote team. It remains an active independent studio and has received seed backing from deep-tech accelerator Boost VC.
