About Disney Television Animation
Disney Television Animation (DTVA) is Disney Kids & Family’s television and streaming animation production arm. Established in 1984, the studio develops and produces animated programming for broadcast, cable, and streaming audiences, including Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, and Disney+.
The studio’s history spans the evolution of Disney television animation, from the landmark syndicated series associated with the Disney Afternoon era to modern cable and streaming franchises. Its catalogue includes Adventures of the Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, and Gravity Falls.

DTVA works across a range of animation approaches and formats:
- Traditional hand-drawn and rig-based 2D animation
- Preschool and premium CG animation
- Stop-motion development
- Short-form and multiplatform animated content
Its production capabilities encompass concept development, pre-production, visual development, character and prop design, storyboarding and animatics, background design and paint, voice casting and direction, digital ink-and-paint, post-production supervision, and management of animation vendor studios.
Current work
Contemporary series and projects credited to the studio include Big City Greens, Amphibia, The Owl House, The Ghost and Molly McGee, Monsters at Work, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Kiff, Firebuds, Hailey's On It!, Primos, and Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
