Definitely Games is an independent video game development studio founded in 2024 by creative technologist Casey Pugh and systems engineer Charlie Tran. Operating with a lean, technical-first philosophy, the studio focuses on the creation of original, system-driven cooperative multiplayer experiences. The team is currently developing its debut title, an unannounced 1-to-4 player online cooperative mining and extraction game featuring 2D pixel art and modular drill-ship mechanics.

The team utilizes a modern, agile production pipeline built entirely within the open-source Godot engine. The studio is led by industry veterans with extensive backgrounds in consumer technology and interactive entertainment:

• Casey Pugh: A creative technologist and award-winning creator known for Star Wars Uncut and the mobile adaptation of the board game Wavelength. He previously co-founded the video platform VHX, which was acquired by Vimeo.
• Charlie Tran: An engineering leader with 16 years of experience, including serving as Head of Engineering at Parsec (acquired by Unity) and Director of Engineering at SyncSketch.

Definitely Games is an independent entity backed by venture investors, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) through their Speedrun accelerator program (Cohort SR003) and Snoot Entertainment.
