About Cosmic Dog

Cosmic Dog is an independent video game development studio founded by a tight-knit group of experienced developers, led by co-founders Colby and Darby Morgan. Established as a passion project, the studio focuses on creating original, stylized simulation and cooperative multiplayer experiences. The team operates as a micro-indie studio, leveraging a remote-first workflow to build immersive, community-driven titles.

Core Philosophy and Development

The studio’s development process is defined by rapid iteration and deep community engagement. By maintaining an active presence on Discord and Steam, the team incorporates player feedback directly into their production cycles. Their technical approach emphasizes:

• Stylized Artistry: Utilizing Blender for modular, low-poly environment design and PBR texturing to create tactile, lived-in worlds.
• Unity Pipeline: A robust development pipeline focused on cooperative mechanics, traversal design, and simulation systems.
• Narrative-Driven Design: Integrating worldbuilding and creative writing to ground their simulation gameplay in engaging, cozy environments.

Current Projects

Cosmic Dog is currently developing its debut title, Grass, a cozy co-operative lawn care simulation game. The project, which began formal production in the summer of 2025, is being published in partnership with Mighty Coconut. The studio released a public playable demo on Steam in October 2026, marking a significant milestone in their collaborative development journey. The studio continues to expand its reach through creative partnerships, including in-game collaborations with musical artists, while maintaining its commitment to high-quality, accessible indie gaming.
