Colorful Palette Inc.

Colorful Palette Inc. is a Japanese game development and production studio dedicated to creating content that "colors life." Established in 2018 under the leadership of CEO Yuichiro Kondo, the studio specializes in high-fidelity 3D mobile rhythm games, virtual live event production, and multi-platform publishing. Originally a subsidiary of Craft Egg, the company is now a direct, wholly-owned subsidiary of the media conglomerate CyberAgent, Inc.

Core Business and Expertise

Colorful Palette is best known for the global success of Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat. Hatsune Miku, a sophisticated rhythm game that integrates traditional gameplay with real-time virtual concerts. The studio maintains a vertically integrated production pipeline, handling everything from in-house 3DCG character animation and shader development to narrative localization and consumer goods merchandising.

Immersive Live Entertainment

In 2024, the studio established a dedicated subsidiary, Colorful Palette ENCORE Inc., to focus on the rapidly growing virtual concert and XR market. Utilizing the proprietary DECO-Engine, ENCORE produces large-scale holographic stage events and premium in-game virtual concerts, providing technical infrastructure and creative production services to both internal and third-party intellectual properties.

Strategic Expansion

Beyond its flagship rhythm title, Colorful Palette has expanded into third-party publishing, leveraging its capital and distribution networks to bring high-potential indie titles to global markets. The studio is currently scaling its operations, having relocated to a new headquarters in Meguro, Tokyo, in June 2026 to support the development of new, unannounced 3D action titles.
