Clipwire Games

Clipwire Games is a Canadian mobile-game developer and publisher focused on free-to-play casual, puzzle, bingo and social-casino experiences. Founded in 2008 by Ritesh Khanna, the studio began with social-web games for platforms including MySpace OpenSocial and Facebook before establishing its Toronto studio in 2010 and expanding its work across iOS and Android.

The company designs, develops, publishes and operates its own games, combining game design and production with live operations, data analysis, player support, user acquisition and creative performance marketing. Its approach is built around accessible gameplay and ongoing refinement of live-service titles using player metrics and engagement data.

Games and licensed entertainment

Clipwire's catalogue includes casual mobile titles such as Bingo Story, Word Buddies, Solitaire Buddies, Bingo World Tour, Turbo Rush, Kaleidoscope and The Little Adventure. Bingo Story became a top-grossing free-to-play mobile game developed by a Canadian studio.

The studio has also incorporated established entertainment properties into its bingo games through licensing collaborations. These include The Price Is Right: Bingo! with Fremantle Media and MONOPOLY: Bingo! with Hasbro.

Growth and ownership

AppLovin made a strategic investment in Clipwire in 2020, bringing the studio into its first-party mobile-gaming division. Clipwire subsequently expanded its Canadian development presence with a Montréal team established in 2021.

In July 2025, Tripledot Studios completed its acquisition of AppLovin's mobile-game studio portfolio, including Clipwire Games. Clipwire remains an active, wholly owned Tripledot subsidiary, continuing to operate its live-service portfolio while benefiting from the broader publisher's cross-studio and data-platform resources.
