Cartoon Conrad Productions

Cartoon Conrad Productions is a Canadian 2D animation and digital-media production studio founded in 2003 by Luke Conrad. Based in Nova Scotia, the independently owned company produces animation for television, streaming, film, digital platforms and commercial work, while also developing original intellectual property and co-productions.

The studio’s work spans character-driven entertainment for children, families, teens and broader audiences. Its production capabilities cover the full animation process, from visual development, design, storyboarding and animatics through character rigging, layout, background painting, animation, compositing, sound work, ADR and final finishing. Its teams work with digital character-animation techniques including cutout, digital-puppet and hand-drawn approaches, using Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Creative Cloud pipelines.

Production and development

Cartoon Conrad combines service animation with original-property development and co-production. Its credited work includes Robo Force: The Animated Series - A NacelleVerse Story, Denis and Me, Green Eggs and Ham, Woody Woodpecker, Teen Titans Go!, Kulipari: Army of Frogs, DC Super Hero Girls, Lalaloopsy, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, StoryBots, Polly Pocket, Super Simple Songs and Jazzberry Jam.

The company also develops its own properties, including The Flobbies and Tootles the Tooting Reindeer, and works with creator-led digital entertainment. Through its Studio Conrad division, it supports live-action production, creator collaborations and digital-first projects alongside its animation work.

Facilities and creative scope

Its Beaver Bank production campus combines animation suites with live-action and audio facilities. The site includes production space, green-screen capability and recording resources, allowing the company to support animation, voiceover, ADR, visual effects, compositing and production-facility rentals within a broader production offering.

Cartoon Conrad’s leadership includes founder and CEO Luke Conrad, COO and Creative Director Adam King, Chief Business Officer Crystal Hilchey, and Animation Director Ron Doucet. The studio serves broadcasters, streaming platforms, entertainment companies, digital creators and advertising clients from Atlantic Canada.
