Big Bang Box is an independent Spanish production studio specializing in 3D CGI animation, interactive game development, and digital design. Founded in 2012, the studio operates at the intersection of entertainment and technology, producing original intellectual property for children and families while providing gamification and software solutions for educational and corporate sectors.

Animation and Film

The studio is best known for its flagship preschool franchise, Momonsters. The property has expanded from a successful television series broadcast on RTVE’s Clan TV into a theatrical brand, including the 2023 feature film Momonsters: La Película—which earned nine nominations at the 38th Goya Awards—and the 2026 sequel Momonsters: Película de Navidad. The studio maintains a robust development slate, including the 3D stereoscopic feature Animagika and various episodic series concepts.

Interactive and Educational Technology

Beyond traditional animation, Big Bang Box leverages its technical expertise to develop immersive digital experiences. Its portfolio includes Guadalingo, an immersive 3D virtual world designed for language learning, and various educational mobile applications. The studio also provides commercial services in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and digital advertising for enterprise clients such as L'Oréal and Santillana.

Big Bang Box maintains a dual-site operational structure in Spain. Its headquarters are located in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, serving as the primary hub for creative direction and production. A secondary facility is situated within the Science Park of the University of Salamanca, focusing on technical development, software engineering, and pipeline integration. The studio operates as an independent entity, with strategic investment from Grupo Undanet.
