About Atomic Cartoons Inc.

Atomic Cartoons Inc. is a full-service animation production studio and animated-entertainment developer working across 2D digital, 3D/CGI and hybrid animation. The studio develops original intellectual property and provides service production for broadcasters, streaming platforms, brand owners and international production partners.

Founded in Vancouver in 1999, Atomic Cartoons grew from an independent animation shop into a multi-site production business known for character-driven series, preschool and family programming, young-adult work, and franchise animation. Its early original series Atomic Betty helped establish the studio’s profile in digital 2D animation.

Production capabilities

Its work spans the full production lifecycle, including:

  • Concept development, writing, visual development, character and environment design
  • Storyboarding, animatics, voice casting and recording
  • 2D digital animation using Toon Boom Harmony
  • 3D/CGI animation, modeling, rigging, surfacing, lighting and compositing using tools including Maya and Houdini
  • Hybrid 2D/3D production, editorial, visual effects, colour grading and final delivery
  • Original-IP development, co-production and third-party animation services

The studio uses a cloud-virtualized production pipeline built with HP Anyware/Teradici and AWS to support collaboration across its production operations and remote setups.
