About Assemblage Entertainment
Assemblage Entertainment is an Indian CGI animation and visual-effects studio established in December 2013 to create animated feature films, premium episodic series, and visual-effects work for international entertainment markets. The company works across long-form animation production, streaming and television content, theatrical projects, and VFX.
Its production capabilities span pre-production and visual development, character and asset creation, 3D CGI animation, effects simulation, digital matte painting, compositing, lighting, rendering, colour grading, and stereoscopic 3D conversion. The studio also supports production through hybrid-cloud pipeline and infrastructure engineering, with workflows covering modelling, rigging, texturing, look development, layout, keyframe animation, and motion-capture cleanup.
Screen work
Assemblage's credits include animated features such as Blinky Bill the Movie, Norm of the North, and Arctic Dogs, as well as series including Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Chico Bon Bon: Monkey with a Tool Belt, Super Giant Robot Brothers, Eureka!, Puffins, Morphle and the Magic Pets, and Wolf King. Its VFX portfolio includes work on Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Chhaava.
The studio's work serves theatrical film, broadcast and children's entertainment, streaming platforms, and interactive media. Alongside its animation output, it contributes to visual-effects projects within Cinesite's global production ecosystem.
Growth and ownership
In November 2022, Cinesite acquired a majority stake in Assemblage. Assemblage retained its brand, senior management, and Indian operations while becoming Cinesite's Asian animation and VFX hub. In April 2025, the company expanded its production capacity by integrating core creative and technology leadership from Mikros Animation India following the shuttering of Technicolor Group's domestic operations.
This combination of feature-animation experience, episodic production, VFX services, and pipeline engineering positions Assemblage to support both original and co-production workflows for global entertainment clients.
