ARwall develops XR technology and provides virtual production services for film, television, commercials and enterprise projects. Founded in 2017, the company combines real-time software development, LED stage integration and production supervision. Its work centres on in-camera visual effects, using digital environments displayed on LED screens to capture backgrounds and live action together during photography.

Technology and production

The company's ARFX ecosystem includes ARFX Pro Server, an Unreal Engine plugin, StudioBox systems, ScenePacks and ARFX Infinite Studio. These products support virtual production workflows ranging from compact creator setups to permanent studio volumes. Infinite Studio adds generative AI tools for creating virtual backgrounds from natural-language prompts, while the broader platform brings together real-time rendering, camera tracking and screen calibration.

ARwall also supplies the practical production support needed to use these systems. Its turnkey virtual production department covers planning, supervision, crew, line producing and stage operation. Virtual art direction services encompass pitch visualisation, previsualisation, technical visualisation and real-time set design. For clients building production facilities, the company handles LED XR stage installation, hardware and software integration, calibration and training. Consulting, budgeting and post-production compositing extend that support across preparation, shooting and finishing.

Work and development

ARwall's production experience includes virtual production supervision and virtual art direction for Muppets Haunted Mansion, in-camera effects deployment for Nightflyers, and technical supervision for historical re-enactments in Tales from the Explorers Club. Its work also includes virtual production and live-action production for a Crossfire Sierra Squad promotional trailer.

The business serves entertainment productions alongside live events, virtual broadcasting, location-based experiences, education and government training. It combines software products with installation and production services, allowing clients to engage it for individual tools or a broader production workflow.

In late 2024, ARwall expanded into original development and co-production through Glowcraft Films, its internal creative division. That arm packages film, television and animated projects using ARwall technology, extending the company's activities from production infrastructure and technical services into narrative development.
