About ARVORE

ARVORE is a Brazilian game development and interactive storytelling studio working across virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality. Founded in 2017, it develops original entertainment experiences that combine spatial interaction, narrative design and real-time graphics. Its production base is in São Paulo, with international operations in Los Angeles supporting publishing, sales and partnerships.

The studio’s work spans retro-inspired adventures, interactive films, action games and multiplayer sports. Rather than applying a single format across its portfolio, ARVORE explores how players can interact with stories and game worlds through movement, gestures and the surrounding virtual space.

Games and interactive storytelling

The Pixel Ripped franchise combines nostalgic video game settings with a layered “game-within-a-game” structure. Created by game director Ana Ribeiro, the series began with Pixel Ripped 1989 in 2018, followed by Pixel Ripped 1995 in 2020 and Pixel Ripped 1978 in 2023. Each entry draws on a different period of gaming history.

The Line, also known as A Linha, takes a different approach: a scale-model interactive VR narrative that places spatial storytelling at the centre of the experience. The studio’s action portfolio includes YUKI, a VR and mixed reality bullet-hell roguelike released in 2021, and Clawball, a competitive multiplayer VR soccer game featuring feline avatars, released in 2024.

More recent work includes Fabula Rasa: Dead Man Talking, an AI-driven improvisational VR narrative experience showcased at SXSW, and the announced VR action-adventure project The Boys: Trigger Warning.

Development capabilities

ARVORE’s capabilities cover full-cycle game development, original intellectual property and franchise creation, interactive audiovisual production, licensed adaptations and co-development. Its technical work includes XR prototyping, real-time 3D graphics, spatial optimization, full-body tracking and gesture-based interaction.

The studio works with Unity, Unreal Engine and Maya, and develops for platforms including Meta Quest, PlayStation VR and PSVR2, SteamVR and Apple Vision Pro. This combination supports projects ranging from authored narrative experiences to replayable games and experimental forms of interactive entertainment.
