About AP·CGI
AP·CGI is a British animation and computer-generated imagery studio founded by director and executive producer Alex Pink. Based in Essex and formally incorporated as APCGI LTD, the studio works across high-end 3D animation, digital visual effects and photorealistic product visualisation for commercial brands, agencies and entertainment producers.
Its work combines cinematic 3D character animation with digitally produced imagery designed to present products beyond the constraints of conventional photography or video. The studio’s practice includes automotive imagery, broadcast commercials, short-form storytelling, character modelling and rigging, and bespoke digital-production workflows.
Capabilities
- Photorealistic CGI product and automotive visualisation
- 3D character animation, modelling and rigging
- Motion-capture execution and animated storytelling
- Commercial production from concept through delivery
- Custom pipeline automation and 3D simulation tools
AP·CGI serves markets including automotive, consumer electronics, advertising, film and television, children’s entertainment and public-sector cultural organisations. Its product-visualisation work creates studio-lit digital renders and motion sequences for consumer, industrial and retail products, while its animation practice supports both commercial and narrative projects.
The studio originated as Alex Pink’s commercial animation and visualisation practice in 2015. It later incorporated in England and Wales as APCGI LTD in December 2021, with motion-picture production and post-production activities listed as its business activities. AP·CGI operates within the wider Alex Pink & Associates creative umbrella, alongside software, business-systems and game-development activity.
A boutique core team led directly by Pink works with specialist freelance 3D artists, animators and technical contractors as projects require. This model supports both focused visual-production commissions and technically involved work involving motion capture, asset development and automated studio systems.
