About ANIMA RES
ANIMA RES is a Bonn-based medical visualization and healthcare spatial-computing studio. Founded in 1997, it creates 3D animation, scientific visualization, and interactive extended-reality experiences that help life-science organizations, clinicians, educators, and patients explore complex biological and medical subjects.
Its work combines medical storytelling with interactive software development. The studio produces mechanism-of-action and mechanism-of-disease films, medical illustration, CGI, and visual-effects work for pharmaceutical and biotechnology communications. It also develops augmented-, mixed-, and virtual-reality applications for platforms including visionOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, Microsoft HoloLens, and Meta Quest.
Medical education and immersive applications
A central product portfolio is the proprietary INSIGHT Series, including INSIGHT HEART, INSIGHT LUNG, INSIGHT KIDNEY, and INSIGHT PROSTATE. These applications use interactive anatomical and physiological models to support exploration of organs, disease mechanisms, and clinical concepts. Users can inspect and manipulate 3D content in real time for physician education, medical and nursing training, and patient communication.
The studio also develops spatial learning environments and collaborative presentation experiences. Its multiuser applications can support presenter-led shared sessions through Apple SharePlay, while its enterprise XR work is designed for healthcare-professional engagement, medical congresses, and educational settings.
Life-sciences communication
ANIMA RES works across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare institutions, universities, and continuing medical education. Supported project work includes interactive anatomy and physiology simulations, patient-education tools, digital learning platforms, and immersive congress installations.
Selected credits include INSIGHT HEART, INSIGHT LUNG, INSIGHT KIDNEY, INSIGHT PROSTATE, INSIGHT NEOLUNG, INSIGHT ECG, INSIGHT BODY, the AbbVie Virtual mode-of-action experience, and a Pfizer COX-2 inhibitor mechanism-of-action film. The studio has also collaborated with organizations including University Hospital Bonn on medical-learning applications.
