ANAVRIN® Design Lab

ANAVRIN® is an independent Singapore creative design studio and direct-to-consumer maker of DIY miniature dioramas, architectural book nooks, miniature houses, and lighted modular brick environments. Its products translate cultural settings, historic streetscapes, and imagined worlds into detailed buildable scenes intended for bookshelf display and hands-on assembly.

The studio’s catalog includes architectural scenes inspired by locations such as Kyoto Gion, Tokyo’s Omoide Yokocho, Old Shanghai, Lijiang Ancient Town, Bangkok Yaowarat, and Seoul’s Euljiro district, alongside speculative settings including Kowloon Walled City 2049 and Mars Revelation 62. Each kit combines storytelling, architectural reference, and physical model-making.

Design and production

ANAVRIN develops its scenes in-house from reference through physical-kit engineering. Its workflow includes 3D environment design and modeling, detailed surface graphics, laser-cut wooden components, UV printing, and integrated lighting. Mirrors, forced perspective, and custom LED configurations are used to create depth within compact dioramas, while selected releases add mechanical features such as music-box movements or scrolling scenic elements.

It provides visual assembly instructions, video build guidance, and replacement-parts support for its kits.

ANAVRIN began as the Singapore sole proprietorship BYANAVRIN in 2022 and incorporated as ANAVRIN PTE. LTD. in 2024. The business operates with a distributed remote creative team while maintaining its corporate headquarters in Singapore.
