About Amuse Studios
Amuse Studios is a 2D and 3D animation production studio in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Legally operating as Amuse Studios S.L.U., it is the dedicated production hub of the Amuse Animation group, creating animation for original preschool properties as well as service and co-production projects.
Established in 2018 as Birdland Entertainment S.L.U. by Elena Catalán and Rubén Zarauza in partnership with French producer Amuse SAS, the studio adopted the Amuse Studios name in 2022 as the group brought its companies together under the Amuse Animation umbrella. Its Canary Islands operation remains focused on physical production, while the Paris-based parent handles group editorial strategy, financing, sales and distribution.
Production capabilities
The studio works across the animation pipeline, from early visual development through final delivery. Its capabilities include:
- 2D vector and cut-out animation
- 3D CGI character animation, modelling, shading, texturing and rigging
- Character and environment design, storyboarding and animatics
- Layout, camera staging, lighting, rendering and compositing
- Particle effects, colour grading, sound work and multilingual dubbing
Amuse Studios also provides production servicing for qualifying co-productions in the Canary Islands, whose audiovisual incentive regime supports animation service work and European co-production activity.
Productions and collaborations
Its original preschool work includes Shark Academy, IncrediTales and animation for the Car City universe, including Carl the Super Truck, Tom the Tow Truck and AnimaCars. The studio has also provided animation and production services for Millimages titles including Molang, Louie and Louie & Yoko Build, as well as work for Tulipop Studios and Hasbro / eOne.
In 2026, Amuse Studios produced the preschool series Bin Buddies (Los reciclamigos), which was selected for co-production backing in RTVE’s animation project call. The studio’s mix of 2D and CGI production, post-production and localization capabilities supports both original digital content and international animation partnerships.
