About Amuse Animation

Amuse Animation is an international, digital-first animation studio and children’s entertainment group focused on preschool intellectual property and full-pipeline 2D and 3D CGI production. Founded in Paris in 2014 by Arthur Lener, the company began with short-form animated programming for digital platforms and uses audience analytics, retention data, and A/B testing to identify concepts that can grow into broader franchises.

The group combines original-IP incubation, animation services, distribution, and consumer-products development. Its production capabilities span visual development, storyboarding, animatics, 2D vector and cut-out animation, 3D character animation, rigging, lighting, rendering, compositing, sound design, music, localization, and multilingual dubbing.

Digital-first franchise development

Amuse develops and tests original preschool concepts through its digital network before extending successful properties into streaming, broadcast, FAST channels, games, audio, licensing, and merchandise. Its catalogue includes more than 30 self-funded properties and 4,900 animated episodes localized into 27 languages, distributed through more than 200 proprietary channels.

Its flagship vehicular universe, Car City, has expanded into spin-offs, mobile applications, and a localized 24/7 FAST channel. Other original franchises include Shark Academy, Tom the Tow Truck, Carl the Super Truck, IncrediTales, AnimaCars, Plum the Super Witch, Miliki Family, and Cam & Sam.

Production, services, and distribution

Alongside its proprietary slate, Amuse provides third-party animation production and co-production services through Amuse Services. The company’s work covers pre-production through final delivery, including compositing, post-production, localization, and platform management. Its service-production credits include Molang, Louie, Louie & Yoko Build, and Tulipop.

Amuse also manages global digital distribution, AVOD and FAST channel operations, linear-broadcast sales, licensing, and merchandising. Its interactive extensions include mobile edutainment applications and audiobooks, supporting a model that takes children’s properties from digital discovery to international entertainment franchises.

In 2022, the group consolidated its Canary Islands production operation under the Amuse Animation umbrella, rebranding Birdland Entertainment as Amuse Studios. The company subsequently established an Asia-Pacific presence to support regional distribution, localization, licensing partnerships, and co-productions.
