About AmazeVR
AmazeVR is an entertainment-technology and spatial-computing studio focused on immersive 3D virtual-reality concerts. Founded in 2015 by former Kakao executives, it began as a VR video-distribution platform before shifting its focus to music-led immersive experiences and relocating its headquarters to the Los Angeles area in 2020.
The company develops virtual concerts through a vertically integrated production pipeline that combines high-resolution stereoscopic live-action capture with photorealistic Unreal Engine environments. Its custom camera systems capture performances at up to 9K resolution, while spatial audio, haptic feedback and interactive elements are used to create a close-viewing concert experience for headset and theatrical audiences.
Production and distribution
AmazeVR works across the full lifecycle of a VR concert, from production and VFX world-building through venue deployment and consumer distribution. Its work is released in two complementary formats:
- Location-based theatrical presentations, using VR headsets and synchronized motion seating in cinema venues.
- Direct-to-consumer experiences through the AMAZE VR Concerts application for Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro.
The studio has partnered with cinema exhibitors including AMC Theatres and Megabox for theatrical VR releases. Its productions span pop, hip-hop, rock and K-pop, with projects including Megan Thee Stallion's Enter Thee Hottieverse, TOMORROW X TOGETHER's HYPERFOCUS, ENHYPEN's Immersion, Avenged Sevenfold's LOOKING INSIDE, Zara Larsson's VR experience, and concerts featuring T-Pain, UPSAHL, Ceraadi and Cha Eun-woo.
AmazeVR also supports artist-focused interactive experiences through real-time VFX, avatar interaction and spatial computing. Its combination of live-action performance capture, computer-generated environments and cinematic exhibition positions the company at the intersection of music entertainment, extended reality and theatrical exhibition.
