About Alps Studios

Alps Studios is an independent visual-effects, animation and post-production company founded in Turin in 2019 by VFX supervisor Filippo Robino and technical supervisor Alessio Bertotti. Its work spans feature films, episodic and streaming productions, commercials, music videos, game cinematics and corporate media.

The studio combines early creative development with on-set data capture and finishing work. Its services include concept art, storyboards, previz and postviz, look development, VFX supervision, LiDAR and HDRI capture, compositing, paint and cleanup, CG environments, set extensions, matte painting, lighting, rendering, digital intermediate and colour grading. Alps Studios also produces 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics and title design.

Production capabilities

The company’s VFX practice includes Houdini-based creature and FX workflows, fluid, fire, smoke and explosion simulation, photorealistic digital environments, and complex compositing. Its internal Alps Lab division develops pipeline tools, photogrammetry tools and emerging AI applications for post-production, while Alps Learning provides project-based Houdini FX masterclasses, specialised courses, tutoring and mentoring.

Screen work

Selected credits include Dampyr, The Rig, Expend4bles, Bones and All, L’Immensità, Devils, Persuasion, The Stand and Angel Has Fallen. For Dampyr, Alps Studios served as lead VFX vendor, delivering more than 700 effects shots, creature work and on-set supervision. Its commercial work includes campaigns for Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Enel Energia, Vodafone and Amazon UEFA Champions League.

The company operates through Alps VFX, Alps Animation, Alps Lab and Alps Learning, supporting projects from concept through final mastering. Alongside its Turin headquarters and production studio, Alps Studios has established regional operating entities for UK and Australian production activity, enabling distributed artist crews across Europe and Australia.
