Alph Studios

Alph Studios is an independent Ghent-based animation and video-production boutique founded in 2015. The studio develops visual stories for public-sector, cultural, educational and commercial organisations, combining animation, design and film production from early concepts through final delivery.

Animation, motion and production

Its work spans 2D and 3D animation, frame-by-frame cel animation, character animation, motion graphics, art direction and visual branding. Alph Studios also produces live-action material, including aerial footage, and supports projects with scripting, storyboarding, voiceover casting and audio post-production.

The studio’s process can encompass:

• Scriptwriting, storyboarding and illustration
• Character design and animated storytelling
• Explainer videos, commercials and public-information campaigns
• Social content, bumpers, GIFs and infographics
• Live-action filming alongside animated and motion-design work

Selected work

Alph Studios’ credits include the Just On Web explainer campaign for the Belgian Federal Public Service Justice, an animated music video for Woodie Smalls’ “Too Soft,” and public-awareness work for the European Commission. Its broadcast and documentary work includes a VRT 1 Iedereen Beroemd bumper and sequence animation for the Vranckx documentary Fish.

The studio has also created educational and explanatory projects for Maastricht University, KdG Hogeschool, Techleap, StoryChief, Impact Finance Belgium and SAMMAN. In commercial production, it partnered with agency Mutant on film work for Sporza and Flanders Classics.

Markets served

Its portfolio reaches government and civic organisations, non-profits and social initiatives, broadcasters and music artists, higher-education institutions, sports-media marketing teams, and technology or SaaS businesses. This breadth is reflected in work ranging from low-emission-zone communications for the City of Ghent to science communication, brand animation and social-campaign content.
