About Albyon
Albyon is a French real-time development and immersive production studio working across virtual, augmented and mixed reality, narrative video games, and interactive animation. Founded by Atlas V to bring game-engine technology and cinematic production closer together, the studio develops and co-produces interactive experiences for cultural institutions, global IP owners, and XR platforms.
The studio’s work spans full-cycle development and technical co-production, including real-time 3D asset creation, environment modelling, lighting, VFX, technical art, gameplay prototyping, optimisation, and platform porting. Its pipeline combines Unreal Engine and Unity with volumetric capture, motion-capture processing, spatial computing, and interactive narrative design. Albyon also develops location-based VR projects and supports productions for platforms including Meta Quest, PCVR, and Apple Vision Pro.
Interactive storytelling and immersive production
Albyon’s credits include acclaimed immersive and mixed-reality projects such as Madrid Noir, Battlescar: Punk Was Invented By Girls, Glimpse, Wallace & Gromit in The Grand Getaway, Empereur, Astra, Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, Monstrorama, Missing Pictures, and Collective Body.
Its practice connects animation, games, and cinematic storytelling: the studio has worked on interactive VR narratives, documentary formats, multi-user experiences, and mixed-reality releases. Collaborations include work with Aardman Animations, Atlas V, No Ghost, Bandai Namco Filmworks, Incarna Studios, Meta, and cultural organisations including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
