About Alamiya

Founded in 1976, Alamiya is a Saudi media, advertising, broadcast-facilities and live-entertainment company. Originally established as the Kingdom's first private film and television studio, it developed its broadcast infrastructure and advertising operations during the regional cinema hiatus, and today works across production, entertainment, studios and digital services.

Broadcast and live production

Alamiya provides turnkey host broadcasting and technical facilities for sports, concerts, public events and other live productions. Its capabilities include UHD-4K and HDR mobile production, outside-broadcast and satellite-news-gathering fleets, master-control operations, satellite contribution and uplink, and multi-camera live workflows. The company also deploys specialist systems and equipment including EVS LiveCeption, MediaInfra workflows, Hawk-Eye VAR infrastructure, Arri Alexa 35 Live cameras, Sony Venice cameras and AGITO modular dollies.

Its sports work includes a multi-year agreement with IMG through 2030 for Saudi Pro League, King's Cup and Saudi Super Cup production. Alamiya has also provided broadcast facilities, satellite transmissions and unilateral feeds for events including the Supercoppa Italiana, Supercopa de España and Riyadh Season boxing productions.

Entertainment, studios and content

Beyond broadcast operations, Alamiya delivers production management, lighting, sound engineering and live coverage for major concerts, festivals and sporting events, including Riyadh Season, Riyadh Oasis and the Saudi Cup. Its studio and advertising operations cover film and television development, commercial production, creative campaigns, media planning, motion graphics, digital marketing, post-production and production-facility leasing.

Following the return of cinema in Saudi Arabia, the company expanded its narrative-production activity. In 2023 it acquired Lyra Pictures and established Alamiya Filmed Entertainment as a dedicated feature-film and television studio. Alamiya's own production credits include the feature film Cello, produced with Envision Media Arts, alongside a longer history of Arabic licensing and broadcast distribution for animated programming.

With five decades of operation, Alamiya combines broadcast engineering, filmed entertainment, advertising and event-production capabilities for Saudi and international partners.
