Al One

Al One is an independent Italian animation, visual-effects and audiovisual production studio based in Rome. Founded in 2011 by Alan Vele, the company works across 3D computer animation, character design, visual effects, compositing, commercial production and feature-film development.

Its production capabilities span the full 3D animation pipeline, from concept development, modelling and rigging through animation, lighting and rendering. The studio also provides VFX supervision and digital compositing for film and television, alongside screenwriting, storyboarding and multimedia production.

Original family entertainment

In recent years, Al One has focused on original feature-length properties built around ecological awareness and sustainability. Its debut 3D animated feature, Trash—also released as Trash: The Legend of the Magic Pyramid—was released in 2020. The film was supported by Italian packaging-recycling consortia and distributed by Notorious Pictures and Pink Parrot Media; it screened at festivals including Rome, Locarno and Shanghai.

The studio is developing Forest The Movie, the second animated feature in its environmental trilogy, with support from Italy's Ministry of Culture. Al One also co-produces live-action independent cinema, including Gianmaria Fiorillo's VAS and Riccardo Boccuzzi's feature project Afterbirth.

Screen, commercial and interactive work

Alongside original productions, Al One has created visual effects, digital commercials and audiovisual content for broadcasters and commercial clients including Fox International Channels USA, National Geographic, Nike and A+E Networks. Its work encompasses feature films, television, advertising, cultural projects and interactive entertainment.

The company has expanded its creative output into games through its separately operated interactive business, bringing the Trash world into an Unreal Engine-powered action-stealth adventure. Across these activities, Al One combines animation, post-production and storytelling capabilities to develop work for theatrical, broadcast, streaming, commercial and interactive contexts.
