About AKA NYC
AKA NYC is a full-service creative, advertising and media agency focused on live entertainment, arts and culture, attractions, destinations, sports, tourism and hospitality. Established as a dedicated North American operation in 2008, it combines strategic storytelling with audience intelligence to help clients build awareness, engagement and ticket demand.
The agency is particularly associated with Broadway, Off-Broadway and touring productions, while also serving museums, cultural institutions, visitor attractions and leisure brands. Its work spans campaign development from initial positioning through paid, owned, shared and earned channels.
Integrated capabilities
- Branding and creative: campaign concepts, visual identity, copywriting, key art, film and video production, and motion design.
- Media and performance marketing: omni-channel planning and buying, paid search and social, programmatic advertising, out-of-home media and television placements.
- Digital and audience insight: interactive web and mobile experiences, ticketing journeys, custom analytics dashboards, ticketing-data analysis, surveys and sales-velocity tracking.
- Experiential and social: influencer partnerships, live-performance coverage, red-carpet events, activations and promotional takeovers.
AKA NYC's theatre work includes campaigns for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Romeo + Juliet, Maybe Happy Ending, & Juliet, Hell's Kitchen and Stranger Things: The First Shadow. For Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the agency developed the global campaign and "Share the Magic" commercial, alongside a 51-screen Times Square takeover.
Beyond the stage, its campaign roster includes The Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Meet Again at The Met" re-engagement work, Mercer Labs Museum of Art and Technology, New York Botanical Garden, YMCA of Greater New York and the Harlem Globetrotters. This mix of cultural, entertainment and destination work reflects an operating model that joins creative development with media execution and measurable audience research.
